Short Biography of Jaimyoung Kwon

Dr. Jaimie (Jaimyoung) Kwon is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics in California State University, East Bay. He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from UC Berkeley and has performed a wide variety of transportation planning and operations research for the past six years as a member of the PeMS Development Group. His research is focused on empirical study of traffic phenomena and operations using real data. His research topics include cleaning and analyzing loop detector data, automatic bottleneck identification, travel time prediction, origin-destination estimation from FasTrak data, and impact of HOV lanes. He has numerous publications on these topics, including seven papers in Transportation Research Records.
