Specific institute content: Teachers will learn about key standards-based concepts including an introduction to the study
of probability, interpretation of data, and fundamental statistical problem solving, including the concepts of independent
events, finite sample spaces, conditional probability, discrete random variables, standard distributions, and standard
deviation. Number theory topics will cover properties of numbers in general, and integers in particular, as well as
examples from some of the modern branches of number theory such as analytic, algebraic, and geometric number theory.
