The goal of CSU Hayward, College of Science's Remote Access to Instructional Science Equipment (RAISE) project is remote accessibility of scientific instruments for people on and off campus. By scheduling additional time, possibly during evening hours, students can remotely access scientific instruments that were formerly available only during class hours. This extra time benefits students by allowing them to practice their instrument operation skills from the comfort of their home, as opposed to contending with a crowd of fellow students also wanting to operate the same instrument.
