California Student Aid Commission: The California Student Aid Commission administers a variety of scholarship and loan repayment programs for California residents.
College Aid Sources for Higher Education (CASHE): CASHE is a free financial aid service offered by Sallie Mae. The database includes thousands of private scholarships, grants, tuition waivers, internships and fellowships.
CollegeNet: A free searchable database with over 500,000 listings of private sector awards. This site is updated annually.
FinAid: FinAid contains a comprehensive annotated collection of information about student financial aid. Access to this site is free for all users and there is no charge to link to the site.
FastWeb: FastWeb lets students create a personalized profile that can be matched against an expansive database containing over 600,000 scholarships.
Fellowship Listing at Yale: This site lists several fellowship programs and other resources, with special focus on graduate educational opportunities for women.
Ford Foundation Fellowship for Minoritites: Predoctoral fellowships provide three years of support at $11,500 per year to individuals who are members of minority groups underrepresented in the nation's Ph.D. population. Awards are made for doctoral programs in the sciences, humanities and engineering. Application deadline is early November.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid: This bi-lingual site (both Spanish and English) contains an on-line application for all types of federal student aid (both loans and grants); also contains work-study information.
Free Scholarship Search (FreSch!): FreSch! has a database of over 2,000 organizations and foundations that offer scholarships, representing approximately 169,000 awards. This is also a very comprehensive site, which also lists information on federal student loans (Perkins, Stafford, PLUS, Pell).
Graduate Fellowship Notebook: The Cornell University Graduate School Fellowship Notebook is an extensive database of fellowships offered to graduate students, the majority of which are non-Cornell sources. See also their gopher of fellowship competitions open to undergraduate students.
GrantsNet: GrantsNet is an on-line resource that helps science majors find scholarships and grants for training in the biomedical sciences and undergraduate science education.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund : Eligibility Requirements - Be of Hispanic background; Full-time student at an accredited US college with at least a minimum GPA of 2.7 & 15 completed credits; US or permanent resident status. Awards generally range from $1,000 - $3,000 per academic year (awarded each Spring). Community College, Four-Year, & Graduate students eligible.
Minority Fellowships (University of Chicago): Lists several fellowships specifically for minority students.
Minority On-Line Information Services (MOLIS): Molis provides comprehensive financial aid information for minority students. This website contains extensive information on scholarships available for minority students in the sciences. Also provides information about minority institutions.
National Science Foundation - Graduate Student Scholarships: Graduate Research Fellowships are available through NSF, with additional awards offered for women in engineering and computer and information science. The fellowships provide three years of support with a stipend of $16,200 per year at the school of choice, and include complete remission of tuition and fees to approximately 900 graduate students each year in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences. Application deadline is early November.
NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program: NIH offers various types of scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical research.
Scholarship Resource Network Express: This database provides information on portable, private-sector, non-need based aid.
Succeed Now!: Succeed Now is a service of NSF that lists several graduate school fellowships and scholarships for minority graduate students.
