Computing Resources

Computer Science students at CSUEB will have access to some of the most modern and powerful computer equipment available. The Hayward Hills campus provides a network backbone, including connections to the Internet, and hundreds of microcomputers. The Department also has equipment of its own, including Sun workstations, several networks, graphics stations, laboratory microprocessors, etc. Several computer labs on campus offer terminal access and assistance with problems. Much of the coursework can also be done on home computers, if that is more convenient for the student.

The University Computer Center supports an excellent software library of languages and special purpose programs, including BASIC, C, COBOL, Ada, Fortran, LISP, SNOBOL, GPSS, SIMULA, SPSS, BIOMED, etc. In addition the Department supports C++, Java, Prolog, Scheme, and other specialized software.
